I can't tell from this pic, but it looks like the actual projector might be gone. This is a console that would hold the xenon bulb along with controls for the lighting and sound for that auditorium. The projector would be immediately in front of this.

Im not sure but I think the projector was in these casings. There were xenon bulbs laying around everywhere and these were about 1/2 foot away from the projection hole in the top of the theaters. I could be wrong but thats what I think

Were these xenon bulbs broken. Xenon bulbs are made of a thin layer of quartz crystal and contain 25 atmospheres of Xenon gas. The projectionists have to wear protective armor when handling them because if it were broken it would be like a grenade going off.

Really adds to the sound effects of your next action movie.

Ya this is the lamphouse for Cin # 5. The actual projector which appears to be gone would be in front of the lamphouse. The bottom square of controls were used to control the current going to the Xenon bulb... a needle gauge to read amps/volts and another for the lamp hours of the bulb. The middle could be automation control? the top may be for monitoring sound as there is a small speaker or might be old school controls for the sound in the auditorium. Hard to tell without seeing the labels. Im not sure xenon bulbs would be just lying around there quite dangerous and can explode causing bodily harm and sounds like a shotgun going off. U always wear protective clothing and face sheild when changing, just incase the bulb explodes in ur face throwing shards of glass everywhere. We always destroyed them when they were no longer good...outside in a box
