Those babies were a pain in the butt... they were so old we couldn't find replacements for them anywhere. And of course, with the building falling to pieces the owners weren't going to buy us a new marquee...

Originally there was a huge marquee down the street at the corner. We used to have to load these things into yellow bags and haul them down there in a Thursday night, then climb up the side of the sign and have someone throw the letters up to us. One day a semi took that corner too close and took down the marquee. The then put it on the roof.

Years later.. yes, I was the manager there when the theater was closed... Looked nothing like these pictures. Very sad.
