The method was to disengage the clutch when (whoever was the target) started up a hill and then re engage it as they top the hill and it sent that car into a spinning frenzy for as long as you want to keep it going or untill the rider(s) pass out or puke. I also kept a filled 5 gal water bucket for cleanups. Nasty job to clean up but sometimes worth the fun. I have operated many amusement rides but none with the vomit inducing effects as the "Wirl".
