In the '70's and early '80's Spiderman always battled the green goblin or some enemy near this stucture. (Also the atlas one In NYC wherever that is )

wow guys, u obviously dont get how huge that is! i live on the upper east side and my friends and i go there a lot. just the black base is at least four times my size, and im 6'2. so good luck to anyone who tries to climb that haha

Was just here last weekend. They are renovating the Unisphere, the sign on the fence said that they are aligning the fountain, redoing the plumbing, and sealing the bottom of the pool. The fountain will operate in Summer 2010.
