  I picked it up and did some self portraits pretending I was talking to someone ..so by doing stupid things I forgot to try a number ! But there was no tonality so I guess it doesn't work !!

  That is awesome! I think this was referred to as a "mine telephone", due to the fact it won't ignite coal dust and was often used in coal mines. (and power plants)
