I figured why bother with going into the origin of a fire; wow; how fucked up is that?

There was two giant kerosene tanks down there that were leaking and the kerosene had frozen

To me it looked as though the fire had started on the "ground" floor @ the back of the house and burned through the floor into the basement (and of course up the walls) - but I'm no expert on such things. How bad was the damage in the basement? These pics don't seem to indicate much down there was in a bad way.
