At the last platform from the top, taking a picture downwards. The ladder stops at this platform, but there are some rungs leading to the top. The dark stuff on and around the ladder is grease. It seems to be seeping downwards from the top and it made the ladder increasingly dirty and slippery as I climbed up. There is no light in the shaft, so I climbed from platform to platform in the dark and then used my flashlight to check the next section of ladder before climbing further.

"There is no light in the shaft, so I climbed from platform to platform in the dark" This is where a head lamp comes in handy.:)
