I like windows, they're like the eyes of a building - it's like walking through the skeleton of some gigantic, long-dead beast built of concrete and steel. Staring out the windows, I can imagine everything the building has seen - the shifting landscape, the imperceptible flow of time as it changes everything surrounding it. People, plants, animals, even monolithic buildings, these all die, recycle back into the earth again, to be reborn later. Except for styrofoam and margarine, that is.
