Description
One of the huge impellers removed. To get to the works, you have to walk about half a mile down a muddy track. Our car was parked over the other side of the road from the muddy roman road. As we aporached the end of the track we noticed a car driving very suspiciosly around our car. We were concerned, as we had seen two cars meet up to exchange items (probably drugs) and drive off very suddenly when we arrived. As we got closer, the car turned its headlights on full, crossed the road and started coming towards us, down the muddy road. Beagle and Blueshiva dropped the 20 foot ladder they were carrying and hid. I flashed my maglight across the car and realised that we were fucked. It was the police, and they were wondering what the hell we were doing at 11pm walking down a muddy path in the pitch black. I simply explained that we were on a walk, and it got dark. She asked why the two people with me hid in a bush, and asked me to call them over (I noiticed how she asked me to call them, not go and get them as that would have given us time to talk to each other). She explained that this was a hotspot for people to exchange "goods" and that police checked that area regularly. Im pretty certain she saw the ladder get ditched, but it was so dam cold she didnt want to get out of the car to check. Luckily she bought the story. The police are obviosly very on the ball when it comes to people skulking around late at night, as we have been questioned twice by the police as to what we were doing at 1am with 20 foot ladders on the roof.

Hahaha! What did you tell the police when you had the 20 ft ladders on the roof?

The truth! That we had been exploring a derelict cement works, and needed the ladder to get into one of the buildings to take photos. They looked at us very strangely, and left...

You weren't dressed like this were you?

Yup! That's me! Didn't want to get any decent clothes covered in cement... so an ill-fitting Realtree fleece and old black trousers it was! And yeah, it was a pretty cold night, so I actually had the balaclava on too. Took it off pretty sharpish though!

Remindes me of the christmas my folks bought me a balaclava and a dark camoflage jacket. It looked like the IRA had joined us for the holidays.

haha saw a videoclip of a guy who had a cabrio and loved to drive with the top off, also at night, but wore a baclava because it was so cold. He was pulled over by the police and after confirming it was in fact his car and he was not a dangerous criminal, they asked him to "change his behaviour" :-P
