It was one of the worst smells I've ever encountered. Well, at least until the house I hit this weekend.

Virtually every house like this I've been to has a jar of pickles left in it. What's up with that??

Virtually every house people live in has a jar of pickles in it, too.

Maybe pickles should be used as the de-facto age test for houses. Instead of carbon14 dating...pickle jar dating

Nostra, I drink pickle brine all the time... love it! That's half the reason i buy pickles is to drink the stuff that's left! Yeah, i know, weirdo.

It's the stale air inside the fridge when it's unplugged that makes it smell like that. That's why whenever a fridge is removed or power is cut, the fridge and freezer door is left open to keep airflow inside the fridge.
