Location DB > United States > Colorado > Erie > Eagle Mine > PT&B trip > Scale house 7 / 9   Scale house Description The building dates back to when this was the Eagle Coal Mine, but it looks like it was retrofitted to be a combination house/office/scale when this place was a scrapyard (after the mine closed). There was quite a bit of paperwork left in the scale room - mostly business records from the scrapyard. Things in this building were in quite a bit better shape than the other buildings, leading me to believe that while this was a scrapyard, the other buildings were either used as storage, or not used at all.
