Yeah, I'm usually a very forgiving and understanding person but, shit, immigration is out of control in that Canada is having to forsake our spaciousness (sp?) to accomodate new Canadians. That, and people getting tired of GTA who seek a more rural area in Whitby. A big false conception... Whitby will be Markham before you know it. I've lived in the same house my entire life, and when I was young it was surrounded by farm land. I live by Brock and Manning... everyone knows there isn't any farm land there anymore! :S

Yea I dont think there's anywhere in Canada that won't someday be swamped with urban-ness. Except maybe the Northwest Territories and Nunavet

Well thankfully anything past the Muskokas is basically too lake filled or rocky for development to be sensible. But, hey, when profit is involved anything can happen!

development is getting crazy today, did you know that where silvercity richmond hill is now used to be a jail farm? the land was unused untill about 1997ish when the land was sold to METRUS

If anyone here thinks immigration in Canada is getting bad, take a look at just how bad it is here in the United States! WE are catching it from all sides. And someone mentioned the disappearing farmland, well it's being gobbled up by big developers who don't give a damn what the consequenses of their actions are. If it keeps going at the rate it is now, soon we will all suffer, and so will our world. God help us all.

These will all be sold and likely at a good / great profit if the UK market has any advice to offer.

House beside a sex predator training college ?? Sure, why not! ?? It's a deal.

:-(

My mother looked into to purchasing one of these houses. I thought they would be cheap because of the location. they are not. 280,000 for a detached medium sized home.

Geesh, I remember this as a large open field. I remember being told that the bird sanctuary was in that area. Lots of geese roaming around. Looked pretty neat in the fall even though the silly buggers couldn't figure out where they were flying to.

Geese can be vicious.. When it comes to being attacked by a dog or a goose... I'll take the dog thanks!!
