I had some friends that used to enjoy playing a game they called "Proctorville Cop". (That's a small town nearby.) They'd sit by a road with a high-power light, targeting cars as they drove by -- which is unfortunately accurate to the cops in that town...

hehehe.. friend of mine had a Dodge Diplomat, which was the same car my town was running at the time, and we'd sit in the spots where the cops would always run radar and see how many people we could get to nosedive (hard on the brakes)... that and he'd follow people around... vicious bastard. Great fun.

now thos old dodges, specially when they were all white trashed out in police colors and primer paint were great, the diplomat, the monaco, i laughed last year i saw a town in deep quebec still running 91 sunbirds as cop cars, not too authoritative

In Lil-trouble's town, you could almost get people to stop if you parked your Camaro here like this. You just need a different paint scheme. The police have at least one Camaro, and several SUVs.

our town cop rolled the newer crown vickie last winter chasing some kids, so they had to bring the older Vickie into service and it was practically falling apart. So, the state of NY handed the town of Moriah a grant for $20k for a new cop car (which is what they go for on state contract)... What does Moriah do? They call up the local dealerships looking for something cheap. They find a rental repurchase Taurus and buy that for $12k, put lights on it and turn it into a cop car, while pocketing the rest of the money in the 'general fund'... How do you take a beige Taurus serious as a cop car?

i got nabbed on US 27 just north of Spring City. I was racing a Monte Carlo at 2:30am, running over 135mph. The Rhea County mounty was sitting in the median. I stopped, the Monte Carlo kept going. He read me the riot act, got back in the car and took off after the Monte. When I went through Spring City, the guy in the Monte was getting loaded into the back of the Crown Vickie... Why did I not get busted? I think it's because I stopped and the other guy kept on it. Anyways, funny story.

I got pulled over in Greeneville, TN for doing 55 in a 55 with some redneck next to me wanting to race. My gray hair and professional decorum got me an apology and a wave-off. The other galoot was not so lucky.

I was racing some guy at about 7 AM last March and he admitted defeat and got off on an offramp, so I slowed down and continued on my merry way still over the speed limit, got busted for 86 in a 65...cop came out of nowhere, damn it.
