Nice car, whatcha got under the hood?
Posted by Oherian 1/15/2006 10:44 PM | remove
Much nicer than your other car. :) But I'm sure it attracts a lot more attention, too.

  Bitchin Camaro, Bitchin Camaro
I ran over my neighbors
Bitchin Camaro, Bitchin Camaro
Now it's in all the papers.
My folks bought me a BITCHIN CAMARO with no insurance to match;
So if you happen to run me down, please don't leave a scratch.

Somehow the idea of that parked next to that trailer just makes my "wrong-o-meter" go into overdrive.

Bitchin Camaro, Bitchin Camaro, donuts on your lawn
Bitchin Camaro, Bitchin Camaro, Tony Orlando and Dawn
When i drive past the kids, they all spit and cuss
Because I have a bitchin Camaro and they have to ride the bus.
So you better get out of my way when i come through your yard
Cuz I've got a bitchin Camaro and Exxon credit card!
Bitchin Camaro, Bitchin Camaro
hey man where're ya headin?
Bitchin Camaro, Bitchin Camaro,
I'm drunk on unleaded!
:o)

love that song...

one thing that peeves me, just on a rant here... people who spell Camaro like this "Camero"... oh that bothers the shit out of me!!!! I've always wanted a Camaro... my parents had a 69 Z28 when I was a kid... :o)

Other DM classics; "Taking Retards to the Zoo" and "Big Lizard in my Backyard"
Posted by Opheliaism 1/18/2006 2:54 AM | remove
So what did you think of the song?
Posted by camarochic007 1/18/2006 12:03 PM | remove
Those songs were hilarious! I got to find some more Dead Milkmen stuff!

Another good album of theirs is "Beelzebubba".
Posted by Samurai 1/18/2006 9:31 PM | remove
I have Beelzebubba... best song on that is "Life Is Shit" or "Stuart"

"I like you Stuart, you're not like all the other people here, in the trailer park..."

To answer the first question, it's a 3.4 V6, and it's sort of a dawg. But it has a Flowmaster muffler and it sounds like it'll blow you off the road! It has a high-end suspension, so it's a keeper. We wanna drop in a 350 hp LS-1 and a Borg Warner 6-speed someday!!

thanks fpr letting everyone know what I personally didn't want to disclose about the "bitchin camaro" inviting jabs of jest from other members...
Posted by Opheliaism 1/28/2006 6:39 AM | remove
Well, I didn't need to know the details, I just know I can hear you coming down the road!

my friend Elroy has a 2001 Camaro SS with the LS6/4L65E automatic swap, 12-bolt Moser posi, 4.10:1 final... it's a 10 second car... Another friend has a 2000 Firebird WS6 LS1/6speed... i almost bought a 2002 Camaro SS before I bought my Cobalt... Since it snows here, overpowered RWD didn't seem like such a good idea.

oh and check out www.rksport.com for some goodies to make your 3.4L run like a big dog.

Posted by camarochic007 1/29/2006 8:20 PM | remove
that car has 190 000 miles on it, so I'm waiting for the engine to throw a rod anytime, so I can drop an LS1 and a 6sp tran in there and kick ass!
Posted by Samurai 1/30/2006 1:44 AM | remove
i don't want to be rude, but 190,000 miles, if that engine hasn't heaved anything, it's not going to. :o) the 3.4L was a stout, durable engine.

Posted by Random 2/7/2006 3:30 PM | remove
That's very dissappointing. You need to get your act together. My '79 k10 has a built 350, your Camaro has NO excuse.

(hahaha)

Hang in there... we're working on it. Saving pennies until it can be done right...no shortcuts or cheap parts.
Posted by Samurai 4/12/2006 4:52 AM | remove
it would be cheaper (and easier) to find either a pre-98 car (LT1 350) or a post-98 car (LS1)... the 3.4L cars are san some mounting points for installing the engine.

I had a Z28 about the same year. I miss it, but the people before me tore it up and I had the benefit of fixing everything

Had a '91 Firebird as my daily driver back in the mid-1990's - bought it with about 49,000 miles clocked on it.

It had a 3.1L V6 and I ran it 'til one of the pistons blew itself a hole at just over 221,000 miles - flimsy-built cars, but those engines were tough little buggers.....
