< sarcasm >Ah, progress!< /sarcasm > In Wal-Mart's defense -- much as I hate to say those words -- the view out front was ruined before they built this store. At one time a small fishing pond was here. The owner of the pond filled it in long before Wal-Mart bought the property. If you look carefully at the buildings in the distance on the right, you'll see a building that's a close twin to the one I'm standing in. It's the last on toward the left of those buildings. We drove past it, but it appears to be very much in use. And it's right above the WV State Police headquarters for the area.

Oh, where's your sense of adventure? So what if it was right above the WV HQ? The fishing pond would have been a lot better then a Walmart. Remove Walmart & put in a fishing pond again!

I only wish. Unfortunately, the only way I can think to do so might be classified as a nefarious activity.

My...nefarious! That's a pretty big word, there, Oherian. 4-syllables even. (Just kidding!)
