  my 71 Bronco was originally a 3-on-the-tree... no problem. :o)
two speed Powerglides were a bulletproof Hydramatic automatic transmission. two ranges- HI/LO. The engine would wind right out in LO and then BANG- throw into HI... these transmissions are still used in racing.

  All things considered, I'd love to jump in that car and go for a ride. There's still many miles left on her, just needs alot of work.
