I gotta give credit where credit is due: You are that good. I got schooled trying to ID the truck at the Benson house. Those Georgia apes were all over me!

the georgia people, well you have to take them with a grain of salt... they are just misunderstood, like abused children that like to mutilate puppies with steak knives. Mostly they are harmless... with me, my blood feud occured at the SCM site in Atl... Simian and I went back and forth for a bit... it was entertaining.

I was an intern at Ford this summer and was able to get access to the ATNPC (automatic transmission new product center) in Livonia, saw alot of those in the "history" area.

I don't know what happened to Ford... they made two bullet-proof automatic transmissions: the C4 and C6... and then bang, JUNK... C3, C5, AOD all garbage.\

I found one like that on a car that was flipped over an a hillside. I than proceded to batter the Hell out of it with a crowbar and sledge hammer in an unsuccessful attempt to get the flywheel.

um, wrenches and sockets work better than a crowbar and sledgehammer.

I quickly learned that and brought a socket set the next time but the bolts were so rusted that I had a helluva time getting them out.

If I could I would, but it wasin a pile in the woods, if I wanted to bring a troch and the police stopped me I'd be in a world of deep shit.

I've never done anything more than replace the gasket around the transmission pan.

Thanks, another good reason why I shouldn't touch a transmission.
