THis whole spot is reminding me of the Allen Mill in Glens Falls; mystery mill buildt into the shoreline, ancient, the superstructure gone, full of pCB from the old GE capacitor plant above it; Interesting? maybe. but like other old factories it's directly adjacent to a falls (for power in the old days). I was going to try the UECAT approach, but somehow getting swept down the Hudson in a rubber raft wasn't appealing to me (except for being able to say that I was the first non GE abatement employee to see this mill substructure in about 150 years; I think you guys should key in on the old mill foundations as well; I guarantee your footsteps will be the first in many many years, and maybe the last.

There's not much of anything in that particular building. Just an empty shell and one hell of a drop from what I could see. Nick said that there is more to it that we couldn't see from where we were, so, we'll see...

Unfortunately, like my Allen Mill, this door will probably yield the same. Vestiges from the old days. Not wishing it, but given the fact the door is .... well you just said it all with your above post; but at least you could say you were the last person to set foot in there in a hundred years. I need to rethink that UECAT trip
