It actually looked like the crapper in the other picture was still full of water, which makes me think someone is still paying the bills or the utilities haven't noticed that noone has occupied this place in a while.

Well both sinks filled up and overflowed from a tap dripping at a rate of 1 dri every 10 seconds. How long would it take to fill both sinks up? thats how long its ben abandoned. UE Math 101 lol

Didn't burglars Harry and Marv (of Home Alone fame) find perverse pleasure in leaving taps on?

There's no way that those sinks filled up drip by drip. Evaporation would have countered that.

I disagree, I've had a sink fill up in the night just cause of a drip every so often.

How did they both fill up, are they connected somehow?

I'd guess someone filled them. The one on the left has the faucet pointed at it. The one on the right appears to have one of the washing machine hoses hanging into it.
Or maybe the valves didn't close all the way and they thought the sinks were big enough to catch the drips.

I think it's weird that you can see what looks like a plug on the back of the RH sink, too.

Maybe they're just really clogged up. The faucet is definitely dripping. You can see the rings where it dripped right before the picture was snapped.
