They dumped hundreds and hundreds of boatloads of this stuff into Lake Champlain to make those causeways. The little one at the Gut as well as the big honkin one at South Hero seem to be safe. For now. This bites, but what can be done? The north end of the lake has been pretty nasty these past few summers.
