  this is bullshit because the County/Town plows past the bridge... My stepfathers' ashes are past this and I'll be damned if that stupid sign will keep me out of there.

  Fuck it. Good fuel for the book; but sadly the only real heavily documented history is the old mine; "Village of Adirondac" 1923. The Titanium mine, however historically important is and has been an afterthought which is why curious jerks like us have crawled all over it.
Lets' not forget the several generations of fine hardy folks who toiled in this joint.

  another thing about this pic... see tha support jutting off the guardrail about dead center of the bridge... um, there used to be a sign on there, but I leaned against it and now it's at the bottom of the river. :o( That was back in 1997.

  as an update, this bridge is no longer passable by car, truck or motorcycle. The bridge has begun to collapse and is blocked off by several k-rails. Traffic for the tailings are being routed up the road to Adirondak and in through that access which is making a mess of that road.
