The old buildings have a lot of character. I have a couple of lamps like that one. I found one in someone's junk pile on junk day and rewired it. It was used for 6 years as part of a light stand on the balconey in our apartment and is now sitting in the garage waiting for me to install it over my workbench. And inventor, I agree with your comment here. Shame that a lot of old buildings with character get razed and new buildings that are bland and boring are slapped up quickly.
