That's a pretty professional board for such a place. They must have some high-end performances there and use it for orchestra recordings, etc.

Yeah. Huge musical numbers like Phantom of the Opera or Joseph and the Technicolour Dreamcoat, etc.

those sony headphones left hanging there, those are damned good headphones... they sound amazing. those are MDR-7506's

It's most likely one board for FOH and one for monitors (on stage and in-ear most probably). I've worked with set ups like that. You have 2 sound guys usually.
And yeah, 7506 are the standard in the feild. I own a pair that I use for that type of work and they just totally rock.

would the monitor mixer be located backstage / side stage (foh guy out front needs to her foh ...monitor guy needs to hear stage and have access to the performers for adjustments throughout performance)
great shots of the theatre ...we toured the place when it was freshly renovated (i was in grade 10) and i was blown away back then ... even moreso now.
