Description
This is actually a man-made well. The Maya dug out the limestone to build with, then lined the pit with a stucco type mixture and collected rain water for drinking and irrigation. This one was way off the path, probably somewhere we should not have been. This is remote jungle after all, not sure what all lives in there...
