The driver was probably so relieved that you didn't jump in his path that he forgot to scowl. Nice pics, BTW.

He didn't seem at all concerned, maybe because I was holding a camera, he figured I was taking pix, not committing suicide.

It's always odd to be standing right on the lip as the train passes underneath you. I've done it in air vents at Coxwell and Lansdowne. 6 inches between my feet and the train.
I'd imagine that the lip of the portal and the train are about the same distance apart.
