I have that exact laundry tub in my basement.

I'm now afraid of your basement.

Why? It's all good it is. My house was built in the 50's and isn't finished yet, but it will be. Just the tub is like that not the whole basement.

Hmm... good point. I suppose it just looks like the scary tub of death in my pic :)

ive got that washtub too, same steel supports, my house was built in '55 and it still hasnt lost its mellowy '60's feeling with all the wood panelling and harvest gold colours.

mine was built in '12... too old for a washtub!

yeah, mines a bungalow too. Odd eh? It was on the market for $159 000 and I swept it up for a cool $110 000. 98 year old ladies are nice when they are out of the real-estate loop.

I bought my place from a Vietnamese family. The father had a stroke and became a semi vegitable. They had to move to get him into a care facility. The house was a steal for us, but the grease on top of the cupboards from years of frying foods in a wok was unbelievable. I had to use TSP and a scraper to get it off. I managed to fill a extra large McDonalds Milkshake cup with the mung from up there. It was like flypaper.

Yum sounds like my last rental house. The stove vent filter was a pad of grease.
