Fully and completely surreal.
1. Can you explain the 'arced-tile' construction? In North America, a plain rough concrete finish would have sufficed for such a structure.
2. What's that thing at middle left?

2For a tunnel of this size and recent build we would have done the same. The machine that bores through the ground ussually would have preformed slabs that would be setup at the back of the boring machine. Easier to finish it off then waiting for the concrete to dry.

The color difference is weird. Did you touch this one up or is your ccd picky about neon color ranges?

No touch up. Just white balance set for incandscent. The previous photograph was natural light with a short shutter speed, this one is all flouro at about 1/30s.
