Label proof sheets. There was a huge pack of essentially new labels, and I picked one as a memento: it was for a Rachmaninov composition, recorded in the Sixties. Good choice, thought I.

The sheet on the left carries the Virgin label logo, part of EMI since 1992.

Excellent, I was going to ask about just that. :)
Maybe I should draw up a family tree of all those labels. It'd help with the research.
Interestingly enough, although Minos is still alive and part of EMI to this day, these particular proof sheets are older: Depeche Mode (Shake the Disease, no less!) from the Eighties.
