Record presses, maybe?

Indeed, but manual ones. Production-line presses are completely automated, even the record labels are handled automatically.
I think this particular floor was for master processing only, which was obviously something to be done in very low volumes. All the chemical processing plants corroborate that, and this part of the floor is away from the nearest source of vinyl pellets. There was an actual production line press near the vinyl silos.

These are probably proofing presses.

This is a clicking press. The long handle hanging is pulled tpwards the operator and that triggers the weight of the big heavy wheel ontop to drive the press down. The stamper was placed in this press and thr forming dies curved the edge of the stamper to fit the mould in the record press.
