Whoo-hoo! A complimentary certificate to a hill-billie redneck camp featuring bad 'mountain music' all set in a location staight out of 'Deliverance'. Uh-no, thanks.

Actually, Dahlonega's a very nice town. I had lunch there yesterday.

I once went to Helen and bought a t-shirt that had a picture of a truck cab up on stilts and read "Redneck Deerstand". Unfortunately, it became an oil rag while working on a friends car.

There's two good things about Dahlonega. Watching an old man talk about "Dynamite Headaches", and the Fudge Factory. On the other hand, there are no good things about Helen. Coppertown is only marginally better than Helen, if only because the massive slag piles will confuse and astound future archaeologists.

I've yet to visit, but the natives tell me it's not worth the time. But it appears they were wrong. Or idiots.
