This one is far away, about a km. Try what happens if you meet it from 30 metre!

Isn't this one of the largest in the world? Like this type of excavator (rotating bucket) can only be used in germany due to the fine sandy soil?

I know that these are used at Athabasca Tar Sands in Canada.

I've measured the smaller one at inden, which is 150 metres long (machine itself), about 220 metres long (machine including ground exhaust)

and 72 metres high. The wheel diameter (excluding teeth) was 16 metre and one teeth was about 3.4 m high (excluding the two little "scrape" teeth, which are a small metre high itself). This all rough educated guesses though.

Ow yes. If you would build this thing for your HO scale model railroad, it would be 82 cm high and 1.72 metre long (that is about 2'8'' x 5'8'' for you imperialists). Remember, that was a small one, this one is bigger.
