I remember camping on the shores of the Hudson once... so crystal clear that night, we were able to track satellites just laying on our backs and staring at the sky. Also one of the first times I encountered those neat phospherescent roots that glow greenish when you shine a flashlight on them for a little while and then turn the light off. Good times.
