One of the really big ovens. From what I remember of a glass factory tour I had years ago, glassblowers would sit around these ovens, shaping and reheating glass. The round thing at the top of the picture was some sort of conveyor system, I think.

Up until about 1870, bottles and glasses were made from two peices by glass blowers. After the Civil War, bottles for medicines, whiskey, of the sort had three lines on each side, and were made from one peice. And that obit above was where the products were hung to dry and harden. And the steel racks on the right hand side was what they prob. transported the products around in the plant.
