Description
This is like hopping into a technology time travel machine. A vintage 8-track cartridge player, a classic Convoy PLL CB radio ("Breaker 1-9, any hot bitches?") and a calculator back from when things like calculators needed to be as big as your head.

That fake wood front on the CB is almost an exact match to the woodgrain dash on my 1975 Chrysler Cordoba.

Ah yes. Some memories... Damned shame people didn't need licences to operate these. Too many carps (assholes) on the air spewing garbage and nonsense. I was on the air with some friends and some kid would cut in and swear. We changed channels and the little asshole followed through the channels. We finally gave up and shut down our radios. Four months later, my friends got rid of their CB and when I sold my Tempo, I didn't get around to putting the CB into the truck I bought.
I believe I may still have my unit kicking around somewhere.

i was one of those little assholes, rainman... we'd play cb tag, or just get on there and mess with the old battleaxes on there.... We got on there one night and this one guy so pissed off he said he was going to go out looking for us... he didn't have to look far, we were right outside his house. So as he goes to get in his truck, we yell, 'Pull up your pants, ya fat bastard and turn your headlights on!"
He turns around just as we're taking off down the street... we ended losing him in a Ford dealership... meh... small town, boring nights... you do things to keep entertained.
i still say the internet chat room is the second coming of the cb for meaningless chitchat.

I do it to walmart employees on their license free frequencies, well I did, now I'm a licensed amateur operator and don't do it much anymore. Funny when a Walmart slave threatens to find you and doesn't even know what radio direction finding is!
