  Dyslexic nazi.

Some people also don't have a clue what they're talking about.

I'd imagine that the person who drew that knows little to nothing about what it represents.

The same can usually be said for people who wear/draw anti-nazi symbols.

Before Hitler the American Indians used the swastika as a symbol of life but I doubt the "artist" knew this.

yea...its an chinese symbol originally right? used for some sort of martial art I thought.
Posted by TechnoTed 1/30/2004 8:39 PM | remove
Yeah, I'd heard of it being used in Chinese culture but not by Amerindians. Could be tho!

The swastika has been used by many cultures in history. It generally is a sign of good luck.

the nazis lost their luck....i guess it's bad luck in the wrong hands...

It's a shame that Hitler took the symbol of the Teutonic Cross and perverted it, turned it into a symbol of evil, much the same way the KKK took the Confederate Battle Flag and turned into a symbol of hatred.

it is still considered a good-luck symbol which makes me wonder..

You can just feel the hatred eminating from the room.
Posted by sondg 4/3/2004 11:37 PM | remove
Might it have been used for anything in the past (and it's known to be one of the oldest symbols) by many cultures, from the chinese to the Hindous, I doubt the survivers of the Holocaust see it as a sign of Luck, Light, Love and Life (wich it was onridinally meant to mean).

People just don't understand.

Okay, odds are it was drawn by some dumbass exploring the tunnels. Or it housed distraught nazi POWs... you be the judge

It always takes some poor, misguided a*****e to take a symbol and turn the meaning of that symbol around, like the KKK did with the Confederate Battle Flag

I read somewhere that the swastika was originally used by the Catholic Church prior to WWII as a symbol of purity. It was dropped for obvious reasons.

Its not a swastika or Teutonic Cross. Its a map of the roadways around the psych property. Look closely. See?

Mystery solved.

*coughs* The KKK actualy did good until racism got involved. It was husbands who dont work and beat their wives who they were after. My Great Grandfather was a part of that. I didn't know it until here recently...

What makes me laugh is that you are all looking at it, commenting on it and not ONE person made mention tht it was BACKWARDS. So the stupid moron that did draw it was wrong, and if he actually DID mean it as a hitler racist symbol, the jokes on him, because being backwards it's meaningless :)

Posted by Stewie 7/9/2007 11:50 AM | remove
You're all fucking idiots. This is actually the Fuhrerbunker.

MHInc: The second comment..."Dyslexic Nazi". That's because it's backwards. The Native American Symbol was backwards from a Nazi Swastika. That's what some of the comments are about.
Posted by Cochiseg 5/29/2009 8:36 PM | remove
well, maybe they weren't nazi and they actually put it backwards voluntarily, but i doubt that

Swastikas were NOT bad until Hitler STOLE
it. I have an old coin that says MEMBERSHIP OF THE DONT WORRY CLUB. Under the swastika it says GOOD LUCK. In
the arms of the swastika theirs a horse shoe, four leafed clover, wishbone & some kind of indian symbols.
