Gallery Description So me and my 'splorin buddy Nick set out today to go visit the abandoned Alpha Portlant cement factory in the Ironton, Ohio DB. Nick talked to his dad about it, and his dad said he know how to get there, so he'd tell us. Well, we got lost, several times, and finally found what his dad was talking about, 15 miles or so North of Ironton. We parked at the end of a promising looking old cracked road with a rusty gate across it and began to walk...and walked some more, and walked some more. After 2 or 3 miles, a big ole' cement factory appeared, which was good, because the sun was going down. Nick remarked how it looked different than it did in the UEDB - After checking the pics side by side, we had found a completely DIFFERENT abandoned cement factory. The sun more or less went down while we were there, and we got to make the hike back in the dark, but it was oh so worth it.
