Location DB > United States > New Mexico > Orogrande > Brice Mining Area > Iron Queen Mine

Gallery Description
THis mine began as a vertical slash in the mountain in the late 1800's, and was later expanded to underground operations. It is one of the largest iron mines in New mexico history, and is absolutely huge. The tailing pile would swallow a Super Wal-Mart. Final operations ceased in 1958.

This is the first of several mine galleries to be posted.
