     History
Built in 1887, it was Staten Island's first private hospital. It served this role (known simple as Staten Island Hospital after 1916) until a much more modern but much less interesting looking hospital facility was constructed on Seaview Avenue in 1979. The building sat abandoned until its demolition in March 2012.
