A large multi-floored Cookie Factory building from the 1920s with easy roof access and great views of Broad Street.

At the time, the building had wide-open factory floors with beautiful open glass windows. The upper floors stilled smelled sweet and had that fantasctic abandoned smell mixed with sugar <3
Roof access was easy and gave great views of Broad Street and the nearby Science Museum.
It was a squat house for some homeless folks, but overall it was a simple building to visit and full of fun photo opportunities.

This building served as an industrial center for the Southern Biscuit Company under Famous Foods of Virginia starting in 1927. The company operated out of this building in Richmond, VA until 2008. Specifically, the company specialized in baking the popular Girl Scout cookies that are known nationwide.
Many of us from Richmond have fond memories of driving down Broad Street and suddenly hitting the "sweet spot", of sugary scents wafting through the area.
Due to its popular place in the city's heart, the building was renovated into lofts so that we can all still enjoy the light and bright scenery the building provides to the growing city scene there.
