The building is huge with lots to see, the view of the city from the roof is wonderful but the coolest part of the building definitely has to be the big main lobby with escalators going up 3 stories.

I've had trouble finding too much history on the building itself, I know it was opened in 1968 and at the time was one of the most technologically advanced newspaper facilities in the country. After closing down in 2016 the building was used as a filming location for NCIS New Orleans, and in 2018 the three story sculptures in the lobby by Enrique Alferez which depicted the history of communication were removed to be preserved. For most of the time the building sat vacant it was heavily alarmed and stayed in pretty good condition besides graffiti on the outside but in early 2019 the power was cut off and the building quickly got vandalized and fell into disrepair. Demoliton on the building started in June 2019 to make way for a driving range.
