This three-story building features many interesting murals and leftover artwork, patient lockdown rooms, and some furnishings. First floor - Comm room, maintenance rooms, lobby. Second floor - Female dorms, main entrance, nurse stations. Third Floor - Male dorms, and rooftop access. This place has some decent architecture, and is very colorful (but unfortunately pretty tagged up). At some point it was used as a police training site; shell casings and police tape can be seen everywhere, as well as a lonely masked, gun-wielding robber target taped to a cardboard box... Lots of natural decay, lots of mold (especially on the 1st floor) and, while it seems they themselves have been gone awhile, the squatters have left behind plenty of evidence that they once occupied the building.

I have found it rather difficult to find much specific history on most of the buildings in this area, but it seems The Williams Building was constructed in 1938, and like many of the Bull Street buildings it was designed by architect Robert Mills. The building was used primarily as a rehab / recovery ward for patients suffering from substance abuse and drug / alcohol addiction. ** It has been Demolished

The Bull Street complex is going fast... a few buildings (like Babcock) may be saved, but for the fate of Williams it could go either way. Come see it while you can; security in the area has been stepped up a bit, as has the sealing job on this and other buildings. In short, the future holds either demolition or repurposing for Williams. Update 2020--My last visit to this place was in Feb. of this year; the right side of the building had been torn down. Though I haven't been back since, I'm fairly certain she's gone now.
