     History
The Varsity Stadium was established in 1898, however the first structure wasn't built until 1911. This was replaced in 2007 with the current stadium. It used to be the home for the Argos, the 1976 summer Olympics, the Vanier Cup and the Grey Cup. It was too costly to maintain though, and in 2003 it was demolished despite being the second largest grass stadium in Canada. The new stadium is much more versatile and features a dome in the winter.

The arena, built in 1926, was one of the first sites to build a seating area without pillars blocking anyone's line of sight. in 1985 it was renovated to standardize some of the specifications. Prior to 2009, the university also used the arena to host examinations.
