This building was rebuilt in 1936, after the original school burnt down in 1935. The original school was built in 1918 or 1919. The school was originally a high school, and at one point a boarding school. The school football team one year participated in a state championship. One local legend says that the school was closed down after a serial murderer killed and raped a little girl inside this school and she haunts the place. Another legend says that the school was closed after spirits were attacking the children.
