Residential floors are off limits, but you can view part of the interior by visiting the resteraunt. Apparently, the decor is supposed to emphasize the original building's design. The center tower of the building gives it a 4th floor. The design on the tower was retouched, but maintained its original look. Another building that is apart of the legacy of Virginia's tobacco industry.

Previously used as warehouse and office building. The building has popularly been known as part of the R.J. Reynolds cigarette industry. It was purchased by the Reynolds family in the 1940s in order to develop an aluminum manufacturing center that now exists in the adjacent county of Henrico. From the 1940s until the market recession of 2008 the Italianate provided business offices for the aluminum production that took place across the street. In late 2010, a real estate developing company took interest in the abandoned Reynolds properties, conveniently located in downtown on a scenic canal. The company hired redevelopers Walter Parks Architect to rebuild the Italianate. Several years since, the building is currently used for residential apartments and a commercial restaurant Casa del Barco, all apart of a new real estate complex known as “The Locks”. The building is located in historic district of Shockoe Slip in Richmond, Virginia.
