 Overview
 Description
The Saint-Luc was one of the big hospitals located around downtown Montreal. Not quite like most other hospitals that are really old and have a lot of history, this one is one that don't have much to say about to be honest. All the most importants things about his history are in the "History" box, so don't hesitate to take a look at it!

---

Since i'm the only one who explored it (with my partner Colin), I'm going to talk about my exploration a little bit. It all started when i saw the article about the hospital being shutdown in a couple days, i knew i had to explore, but the thing was that it was going to be demolished during the next months so i didn't knew how much times i got. So i went to scout it about 4 or 5 times during October and November, there was always so people inside removing things and we could see them by the windows. There was maybe about four possible entrances (doors), and only one was unlocked, and what you think was behind the door? Yeah, the security office, no way to avoid them (I opened the door once and the two officers busted me directly), so i decided to stop trying to hit this spot..

We are December 24, me and a friend are talking about doing some spots for the next weekend you know. That's when the idea came to try back the hospital. But, tomorrow. During the christmas night. Well this was a fucking good idea because we wouldn't had done it if it would've been any other day than christmas because of the security guards. We got there at 5am in the morning, we jumped the fence, there was about a meter of snow (there was a big snowstorm at this moment), and like a month before, the fucking door was still unlocked, no officers, nothing!

We were really carefull while exploring the facility in case there was any officers roaming around the hallways. We explored the place for about four or five hours, we managed to hit the operating rooms which was my main goal. All the departments i've explored are in the gallery, i haven't took many pictures though (like always)... After exploring the operating rooms and few more floors, we decided that it was time to leave since we had our christmas dinner in a couple hours. So that concludes this amazing unexpected christmas infiltration, hope you like this article!

1912 - The City of Montreal supports the hospital financially and helps it defray the salaries of health professionals. The federal government of Canada also pays a certain amount for the hospitalization of Canadian and foreign seamen.

1928 - The "Small Hospital" is inaugurated, increasing the capacity from 9 to 89 beds. It was only a sequence of successive enlargements, allowing Saint-Luc Hospital to finally offer a total of 814 beds.
1930s - As the economic crisis hits Canada, the hospital offers a number of beds for sick homeless people.
1950s - Became the first hospital in Quebec to offer emergency services 24 hours a day, without any ethnic, linguistic or religious discrimination.
1996 - The Saint-Luc Hospital signs the Memorandum of Understanding that links it to the University Hospital Center
Montreal and its two other hospitals.
2017 - Relocation of its patients and staff to the New CHUM, and finally the demolition of the the entire facility.
