 Overview
 Description
An Edwardian-era house in Forest Hill - from 1954 onward, it served a consulate general office first for Yugoslavia, then for Serbia following the collapse of the former. Hints of its life as a consulate office are apparent with the abundance of filing cabinets and books in Baltic languages. The house holds appeal for anyone who is fond of Edwardian architecture. Much of it can be clearly seen when wandering through the house despite the slow rotting process.

12.27.2023 - Demolished 2019.

     History
An Edwardian-era house situated in Forest Hill, it became home to the Consulate General for Yugoslavia in 1954. During its time as the Yugoslav Consulate, the property played host to a number of protests and acts of terrorism perpetuated by those who disagreed with Yugoslavia's leader, Tito.

While the exact dates are unknown, following the collapse of Yugoslavia, the house became the Consulate General for Serbia in Toronto until approximately 2012 when they relocated to an office space at Yonge and Eglinton.

In 2014, the property was sold to developers.

     Future Plans
Plans have been underway since 2014 to demolish the house and build a development of multiple detached and semi-detached townhouse units. While final plans were approved in early 2016, progress has been slow, possibly even halted.
