Disused 60 x 30 foot graffiti-covered swimming pool and natatorium hidden away in a corner of Pomerene Hall on the OSU campus. Pomerene is an old castle-like building that has a lot of odd features, strange places and parts of the building that don't connect to each other inside. It's also supposedly haunted. This section of the building was once entirely abandoned, however campus planning has since moved into the nearby offices and is using the natatorium for storage of blueprints and other documents. So those guys are around sometimes and they're kind of uptight about people exploring the natatorium.

-it's an abandoned pool hidden away at a heavily populated university -it's also kind of weird to see a chain-link fence inside a building

Pomerene Hall was built by university architect Howard Dwight Smith in two phases, completed in 1922 and 1927. The 1927 addition included a swimming pool, natatorium and locker rooms. Originally used as a student union for women, Pomerene contains a Grand Lounge, basketball court, offices, refectory and several other surprises. Even after the new student union was built in 1951 for both sexes, women continued to use the Pomerene pool until an addition was made to the Larkins Hall natatorium in the 1970s, allowing the women to join the men there. The pool was later used to teach swimming classes for adults who had never learned to swim. Students again briefly used the pool in 2005 between the demolition of Larkins Hall and the completion of the RPAC. The pool has been derelict since 2005. In 2011, the locker rooms were renovated into offices for the campus planning division, which now uses the natatorium as storage for blueprints and other documents.

There are plans in place for a major renovation of Pomerene Hall. During this construction, parts of the building that serve no current purpose (aka this pool) will be removed or repurposed. One plan calls for complete demolition of this wing of the building; another proposes that it be turned into an auditorium or movie theater. Either way, it won't be there much longer. Update: As of 1/29/2017, the wing of Pomerene Hall where the pool was located has been demolished. Pomerene Hall is being renovated extensively and the pool no longer served a purpose so it is gone.
