** UPDATE: House was removed and ground resurfaced in Fall 2012.
Hard to believe that this old box of a house has managed to sit here for years with all of the city/counstruction workers and inspectors driving by every day building the new hospital. Check out pic #3 and you can get a feel for the proximity with the new hospital in the background. The place is an absolute wreck with multiple POEs. I tried to explore this one a year ago and didn't have a flashlight - now there are so many holes you do not even need one. A family of raccoons lives above the ceiling and growled the entire time I visited. Sort of unnerving, as I have never heard raccoons this defensive!
If winter time with snow cover, do NOT drive up to the property as the roadway has completely collapsed into an old drain (pic #2). When the City of St. Catharines posts signs saying "Unmaintained Road", they aren't kidding!
