     History
This two story, plus a basement, building was a passenger and maintenance terminal for the Texas Interurban Railway, and the eastern terminus for the line. The facility also functioned as the connection to the Texas Midland Railroad for passenger transfers.

The rail line was shorted lived (ended in 1932) as the Dixie Highway (US80) was completed through the area, and vehicle traffic picked up and took place of general rail travel.

Once the Dallas-Terrell line was abandoned, the Texas Midland Railroad used the facility as a terminus and bus connection center, but that was short lived as well and the building was abandoned in 1939.

Replacement bus service was operated by Dixie-Sunshine Trailways, which in 1948 became part of Continental Trailways. Operated into 1970's.

The line from Dallas to Terrell was unique as it was a streetcar type design that ran for thirty miles from downtown Dallas to this terminus building. Using electric motors, the line had six electrical switching stations to control the power flow. Only one such building remains and is located in Lawrence 5.5 miles to the west.

Since 1990 it has been used by the City of Terrell as a catch-all storage building for road maintenance. I could find no notes of usage from it's closing to earlier than 1990.
