102 rooms, with outside entrances, located in a 2-floor L-shaped building with basement. also, a lobby building with a full basement including banquet hall/bar area.
recently re-secured; stair case, all windows and doors boarded up, doors relocked with padlocks and screwed shut (behind boards), lobby building completely boarded up as well.
not sure this place is worth visiting any longer.
the basement of the motel building is still accessible, but other than the laundry machines, there isn't much of anything besides a bunch of trash, mold and other junk.

years ago, the fox inn was a thriving holiday inn with direct access to u.s. 41. since then, it has fallen into disrepair, and the budget motel was closed for good after a 2006 shooting incident involving gangs and drugs.
three people were shot through a bathroom door and wounded by chuckie vang, in september 2006. vang was arrested two years later in california, after being on "america's most wanted".
